Cambium cnRanger

the next generation in fixed LTE

Cambium cnRanger

The cnRanger™ Fixed LTE wireless platform from Cambium Networks offers extended range and enhanced coverage, all while minimizing the expense and complexity commonly linked to LTE networks.

Experience simplified LTE with an integrated, virtualized core. Leverage LTE technology tailored specifically for fixed wireless broadband applications.

Enable seamless device recognition and provisioning with zero-touch configuration while blocking unauthorized devices.Bypassing the need for a traditional Evolved Packet Core (EPC), this platform removes reliance on cloud communication and allows for infrastructure setup in just minutes.

cnRanger 90 Sector Antenna:

The cnRanger 2.5 GHz sector antenna provides up to 16 dBi gain and can be utilized for 90° coverage or 120° with 3 dBi roll off. Includes RF cables and RRH direct-mount hardware

cnRanger Subscriber Module:

The cnRanger™ Subscriber Modules (SM) are compact, affordable LTE Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) designed for straightforward installation, onboarding, management, and monitoring. They are available in two configurations: a 2.5 GHz Cat 4 integrated flat panel or a High Gain integrated parabolic reflector dish, compatible with both 2.5 GHz and 3 GHz frequencies, including CBRS.

These SMs enhance range and coverage while simplifying the typically complex LTE setup process. They support standard LTE SIM cards, including cnRanger SIMs, and are built to endure harsh environmental conditions with durable construction. Each SM comes with a bundled POE injector for added convenience.

cnRanger 800 Baseband Unit:

The cnRanger™ 800 Baseband Unit (BBU) is an 8TX/8RX indoor unit, suitable for cabinet or base installation at cnRanger LTE sites. It features CPRI (SFP+/Fiber) ports to connect up to four remote radio heads, along with network Ethernet connectivity via copper or fiber interfaces and a GPS receiver input.

The BBU offers complete manageability through a user-friendly GUI interface and Cambium’s cnMaestro network management platform. It includes an integrated, fully virtualized embedded evolved packet core (EPC), eliminating the need for an external core connection. For operators with an existing EPC, the integrated core can be bypassed to connect to their established infrastructure. Each BBU kit is equipped with rack ears for standard 19-inch rack mounting.

cnRanger Remote Radio Head:

The cnRanger™ 2×2 Remote Radio Head (RRH) supports a frequency range of 2300–2700 MHz (LTE bands 38, 40, and 41) with 2W output per port. Built for durability, it is IP66/67 rated to endure harsh outdoor conditions and extreme temperatures.

The RRH is fully managed and controlled by the Baseband Unit (BBU) through a CPRI interface. It can be easily mounted directly onto the Cambium 2.5 GHz sector antenna or installed on a pole or mast using an optional mounting adapter.
